One of Sefar's core skills is the manufacture of fabrics with precise mesh openings. In screen printing, such precision is a prerequisite for uniform ink application, while in filtration it ensures the exact separation of solid, liquid and gaseous materials.

We process threads with diameters between 25 µm (25 thousandths of a millimeter = 0.001inch) and one millimeter (0.04 inch). But the precision of mesh openings is just as important. The smallest openings are in the 10 µm range, with a tolerance of ±2 µm.

In order to meet these high standards, Sefar has state-of-the-art production facilities located throughout the world. In our production operations in Switzerland, France and Thailand, fabrics are manufactured on computer-controlled weaving machines. These machines, together with our highly skilled employees and the use of computer-backed process controls, produce fabrics with uniform parameters and consistent quality from manufacture of the warp through weaving to subsequent finishing of the fabric.
